This is an art style of spray paint on a canvas done
by Markus Fussell. In this image I see a lot of blue, black and somewhat white
as the primary colors. I also see what looks to be an orange, red and yellow
planet on the upper left, blue and black mountains on the bottom of the canvas,
a burgundy and white planet on the upper right and a bright whit twinkling star
in the middle.
Fussell used all of these colors to incorporate a
galaxy like theme. Which he really did well, because when I see this image I think
of a galaxy. The style he uses is very unique and somewhat simple. All he
really is doing, is spray painting where he desires on a canvas with a
selective amount of colors. Then he takes a sharp, flat edge of some sort and
scraps parts of the spray paint where he wants off. It’s very similar to a
scratch board method, but using spray paint.
Fussell wasn’t really trying to send a message for
this image, because he just does walk up street art. Markus Fussell is from Norfolk,
Virginia, United States and he is simply a based artist creating visual
landscapes of space, science fiction and lost civilizations using only acrylic
spray paint and recyclable materials. He works of art are all very different and
has yet to serve a purpose; it’s just for the eye to gaze at.
I really love his work and particularly this piece, because
I love the theme and the different colors he chose to use for this canvas.
Fussell has some many different portraits that are all very beautiful and
catches everyone’s eye. He has themes like galaxies as the one you see above,
he also has Egyptian work like this, self-portraits and much more using this method.
Fussell I by far one of my favorite artist and I love his work. If you wish to
see more of him search him up on YouTube and videos of him making his work in
just 5 minutes will pop out.
